Best of 2010 #4. Chimes ring in the dark winter that is
Oh Thunder. I think of the panting animal instincts of "Scream," the lingering tension of "Trails of Star," the flurry of drums on "Hush (Smash!)," the rebirth of the body at the first sign of spring and the resolve of "When a Heart Becomes a Heart."
Maturity for most means slowing down, settling. But here, it means letting go a little.

I should say: while biases run strong here, this album would have probably ranked higher had I not joined her band after it came out and played these songs a million times. It's that good.
