Simply, Olympia's Twig Palace is a force. Or...was. Due to recent location changes, they are on hiatus until the foreseeable future, so this is a bit of tribute, just in case you missed their greatness while it was around.
The combo of Colleen Johnson (Polka Dot Dot Dot) and Evan Hashi (Hobby Hobby) is just too perfect. They trade between guitar/lead vocal and drum duties, invent beats, croon like angels, and appeal to everyone (punks, dogs, moms, cats, everyone).
If they never return to the world of the living, at least they left artifacts; one self-titled CD and a handful of compilation tracks. This one's off their CD and it makes me feel so good inside.
