Firs of Prey

This weekend I got the pleasure of playing with Portland's Firs of Prey. Louder than his recordings would let on, he's a mesmerizing loop-pedal composer with a vocal range that I find pretty unreal.
The experience made me revist his debut EP, Keep the Lions Asleep, released last year on Olympia's Electricty and Lust. The album has the certain magic that the early recordings of those bound for greatness have; some kind of child-like, unconciously omniscient, smirk of what's to come.
