Today, Cock and Swan's new album, Unrecognize, comes out as a digital release, as a part of the vinyl pre-order package. We're not even two months into the year, so I should probably hold off on declaring it album of year, but it's hard to imagine something better will come along. The follow-up to 2008's Marshmallow Sunset, Unrecognize is bass-heavy indie ambiance, electronics and chopped-up drum loops, acoustic guitars, synths, distorted vocals. It is two people who put immense care into the music they make.
